A fully funded undergraduate scholarship covers tuition and living costs for your whole bachelor’s degree. These are rare and competitive, but students from Bangladesh win them every year.
This guide lists only the main fully funded options for undergraduates, explains what each covers and who is eligible, and gives a simple timeline for applying.
Fully Funded Government Scholarships
Global Korea Scholarship (South Korea)
Covers tuition, one year of Korean language training, a monthly allowance, return airfare and insurance. Undergraduate applicants must be under 25 with at least an 80% average. See official notices on Study in Korea.
MEXT (Japan)
Japan’s government scholarship covers tuition, a monthly stipend and airfare, usually with a year of Japanese language study first. Apply through the Japanese embassy.
Chinese Government Scholarship
Covers tuition, accommodation, insurance and a monthly stipend. Shanghai’s official FAQ lists a bachelor’s stipend of 2,500 yuan a month; see the Study in Shanghai FAQ.
Türkiye Bursları and Stipendium Hungaricum
Both fund full bachelor’s degrees for eligible countries, including tuition, a stipend and accommodation support.

Fully Funded University Options
- Lester B. Pearson Scholarship (University of Toronto): tuition, books, fees and residence for four years. Read our Pearson guide.
- Need-based aid at Harvard, Yale and MIT: for low-income families, aid can cover the full cost. MIT, for example, says families earning under US$100,000 pay nothing for tuition, housing, dining or fees; see MIT financial aid.
- UBC International Scholars (Canada): need-based awards that can cover a large share of costs.
