York University in Toronto offers international students both automatic entrance scholarships based on grades and a major competitive award, the President’s International Scholarship of Excellence (PISE).

Automatic Entrance Scholarships
No application is needed: you are considered when you apply for admission. For Fall 2026 and Winter 2027 entry:

| York International Transfer Award | 75%+ (24+ transfer credits) | $2,500, one time |
Renewable awards require at least 24 York credits a year with a B+ (7.5) average or higher.
President’s International Scholarship of Excellence (PISE)
- Value: CAD $180,000 ($45,000 a year for four years)
- Application required, including a nomination
- Deadlines: student application by 27 January 2027; nominator by 4 February 2027
- Cannot be combined with entrance scholarships
